Northern Ireland’s weather warning for Friday 24th January has been upgraded to RED.
This is an unprecedented warning level. Northern Ireland’s political leaders have urged people to stay at home on Friday while the red warning is in effect (7am- 2pm) currently.
All schools in Northern Ireland will close and the Met Office is saying there is danger to life.

I spoke to Rivers Agency in relation to flood risk and the response was that after a fairly dry January, river levels are low, so nothing of concern.

However, they have staff on standby should any matters arise.
